When is a package required?
A package is required when the distribution and warehousing environment require a greater resistance than that of your product.

Why should I choose a corrugated container?
A corrugated container is the best solution for your product's packaging needs because, unlike other packaging options, corrugated containers offer maximum resistance for the lowest cost.

According to what specifications are corrugated containers bought?

A corrugated container may be purchased according to bursting resistance (see What is the Mullen Test?) or stacking resistance (see What is the Edge Crush Test?), according to your needs.

What is the Mullen Test?

The Mullen Test was developed in the early 1900s to measure a corrugated container's resistance to piercing or bursting. This test is now somewhat out-of-date since the Edge Crush Test does a better job at satisfying the corrugated container requirements of modern producers at a more agreeable price.

What is the Edge Crush Test (ECT)?

Today, the key corrugated container requirement is its resistance to stacking. The Edge Crush Test (ECT) measures that resistance and guarantees that your box will fulfill its purpose of protecting what it sells and selling what it protects. At Inland, we guarantee your corrugated container to Mullen or ECT specifications; the choice is yours!

What are my options for material?

We use virgin paper imported from the United States and the rest of the world, local papers and recycled papers in the production of our corrugated containers. You may choose between white- or brown-colored papers, various flutes, single face, double wall, etc. Therefore, with so many available options, you can control costs and purchase the box that you want

Can a corrugated container be frozen?

Yes, of course a corrugated container can be frozen, using a special wax or polyethylene application that is provided by Inland. After one of these special treatments, your box is ready to transport your fruit, meat, seafood, etc., to the market in a refrigerated semi-trailer or container.
